The Donner DP-S500 is a digital piano with 88 weighted hammer-action keys, illuminated keys and modern features for learning, practice and creative playing. Its DREAM sound source, 256-note polyphony, 40 sounds, 230 rhythms and 50 demo songs provide a broad foundation for piano playing and other musical expressions.

Bluetooth and MIDI connectivity allow the piano to be used with compatible apps, educational software and DAW software. The DP-S500 includes legs, a three-pedal unit and a music rest.

88 weighted hammer-action keys

The keyboard features 88 full-size weighted keys with hammer action. The keys respond to playing dynamics, allowing volume and expression to vary with the playing style. The resistance provides a piano-like playing experience and can help beginners develop good playing technique.

Illuminated keys and learning functions

The built-in key lights provide visual guidance when learning melodies. Four different lighting modes make it easier to see which keys to press. The lighting function can be used with the piano’s learning features and music apps, and can also be disabled for traditional playing.

A KPOPPiano benefit card with one year of free Premium membership is included. After the first year, renewal is optional and paid for by the user.

DREAM sound source and 256-note polyphony

The DP-S500 uses a DREAM sound source with digital samples. Its 256-note polyphony allows many notes to be reproduced simultaneously without interruption, including when using the sustain pedal, dense chords, fast passages and layered sounds.

Sounds, rhythms and functions

The piano includes 40 sounds, 230 rhythms and 50 demo songs for practice, accompaniment and inspiration. The Dual function combines two sounds across the keyboard, while Split divides the keyboard into two sections with a separate sound for each. Other functions include chord functions, seven metronome types, transposition, recording and playback of your own playing.

The built-in joystick functions as pitch bend and provides additional expression when using synthesizer and instrument sounds. The tempo range is 30–300 BPM.

Bluetooth, MIDI and USB

Bluetooth connectivity can be used with compatible apps. Via MIDI, the piano can be connected to a computer and used with educational software and DAW software for recording, arranging and music production.

The USB port for MP3 playback can be connected to a USB flash drive, allowing music files to be played directly through the piano. This makes it possible to play along with your own songs and backing tracks.

Speakers and connections

The built-in stereo speaker system has an output power of at least 2 × 10 W. The piano features one 6.35 mm and one 3.5 mm headphone output, allowing two people to listen at the same time. The built-in speakers are automatically disabled when headphones are connected.

The stereo line output can be connected to external speakers, a mixer or other audio equipment.

Three-pedal unit and legs

The included three-pedal unit features soft, sostenuto and sustain pedals. The four included legs provide a stable setup.
