ADAM Audio D3V White Active Desktop Monitoring System

The D3V is a fully active desktop monitoring system designed for songwriters, producers, and music lovers who want to enjoy ADAM Audio sound quality as conveniently as possible. Available in white or black editions, the active monitors feature the iconic golden ribbon tweeter and remain true to ADAM Audio’s German industrial design heritage.

Each active pair features 3.5-inch aluminium woofers with a ferrite magnet system, driven by 80 W amplifiers. The woofers are complemented by dual-sided 3.5-inch passive radiators, allowing the D3V to extend as low as 45 Hz.

With 25 years of experience in ribbon tweeter technology, ADAM Audio has developed a compact 1.5-inch D-ART (Desktop Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter). This delivers precise, unfatiguing high-frequency reproduction of the kind associated with ADAM Audio’s established monitoring systems.

The D3V features a USB-C input, allowing the monitoring system to act as a digital output device when connected to a computer. This removes the need for an additional audio interface for playback. The plug-and-play functionality also extends to mobile devices, so high-quality audio can be enjoyed without the compression or conversion normally associated with such connections. For more traditional analogue applications, the D3V also provides balanced ¼-inch TRS inputs.

The backplate of the left speaker features a range of user-friendly switches for addressing common acoustic issues caused by speaker placement. The front panel includes a headphone socket and a volume knob that also controls audio input selection, muting, and other functions.

The D3V comes complete with detachable monitor stands angled at 15° toward the user’s ears. The underside of both monitors also features a standard threaded 3/8-inch hole for microphone stand mounting.
