Effects, modelling and connectivity
The Ampero Mini includes amplifier and cabinet models and can be used with a guitar amplifier, PA system, HiFi system or headphones. It can also function as an audio interface for recording on a PC or Mac. Editor software is available as a free download from Hotone’s website, which also provides firmware updates and new sounds.
CDCM HD + F.I.R.E modelling technology models the components of the original unit and responds to dynamic variations in the guitar’s input signal. According to Hotone, the aim is to provide a more dynamic, detailed and natural reproduction of the amplifier’s tonal characteristics.
The sound library can be expanded with new effects and Impulse Responses (IRs), either from Hotone or from other providers. IRs can reproduce the character of guitar speakers, cabinets, microphones and recording methods, among other things.
Looper and drum machine
The built-in looper can record up to 100 seconds, allowing you to play over the recording or add new layers. When recording with stereo effects, the recording time is reduced to 50 seconds.
The built-in drum machine offers 100 different rhythms for practice or recording.
Expansion options
An external controller can be connected to provide additional footswitches for live use. An expression pedal can be used for manual control of wah, volume or other selected parameters in the Ampero Mini.
