The Valeton VLP-400 is a guitar multi-effects pedalboard with two independent looper tracks, a built-in drum machine and seven effects. It provides tools for building and experimenting with sound in real time at home, in the rehearsal room or on stage.
Two independent looper tracks
Choose between SERIAL and FREE mode according to your workflow:
- SERIAL mode lets you switch between two different song sections, such as an intro, verse and chorus.
- FREE mode provides two separate loopers that can be recorded and played back independently.
The intelligent overdubbing function matches the recording to the length of the existing loop. For unrestricted overdubbing, you can activate the classic STACK function.
Built-in effects
The VLP-400 includes seven built-in effects that can be controlled with the footswitches, including:
- REVERSE for backwards playback
- FREEZE for holding the sound
- OCTAVE
- HALF SPEED
- FADE OUT
Drum machine with synchronisation
The built-in drum machine offers 100 rhythm patterns in genres including rock, pop, jazz, electronic and metal. It operates at 24-bit/48 kHz and can be synchronised automatically with the loop. You can select a rhythm before recording and let the VLP-400 match the drums to your timing, or use AUTO mode, where you start with the loop and the drum machine follows.
Connections
- Combo input for an instrument or microphone
- MIDI IN/OUT for synchronisation with other equipment
- CTRL input for additional footswitches
- USB-C for importing and exporting projects and updating the software
- 3.5 mm headphone output for silent practice
The VLP-400 provides 99 project slots and up to 12 hours of stereo recording. Colour-coded LED indicators on the footswitches show whether you are recording, playing back or overdubbing. Everything is housed in a robust metal frame for stage use.
