The Valeton GP-200 is a compact multi-effects unit for electric guitar with more than 250 effects, over 140 amplifier models and speaker cabinet simulations. It also includes a looper, drum machine, tuner, expression pedal and built-in audio interface for recording to a computer. The GP-200 provides 24-bit/44.1 kHz audio quality and supports up to 11 simultaneous effects.

The built-in HD sound engine provides 24-bit/44.1 kHz resolution for detailed guitar reproduction. With its looper, drum machine and extensive selection of effects, the GP-200 can be used for practice, jamming, songwriting and direct electric guitar recording.

Computer editing and connectivity

Downloadable software allows you to edit the GP-200’s 256 different guitar sounds and import third-party IR files. The GP-200 can also be used as a USB audio interface by connecting it to a computer or mobile phone, allowing you to record, mix and share music.

Looper and drum machine

The built-in looper can record loops of up to 180 seconds. Its pre-effect function lets you change the effects after recording without having to record the loop again.

The drum machine offers 100 rhythms covering styles including electronic music, rock, funk, pop, blues and jazz. An integrated metronome supports time signatures from 2/4 to 9/8.

Controls and connections

The GP-200 features 8 footswitches, 11 control knobs, 14 connectors and an 11 cm TFT colour display. The footswitches can be assigned to the functions you want to control, while the illuminated rings around them provide visibility on dark stages.

The two stereo outputs can be used with standard jack outputs or balanced XLR outputs, for example to a mixer or audio interface. An effects loop allows you to integrate external pedals, while MIDI in/out can be used to control MIDI equipment remotely. The EXP output supports an additional expression pedal for controlling volume, wah or various effect parameters. The unit also provides an AUX input, headphone output and USB-C for connection to Win/Mac or iOS/Android devices.
