The Tone City Wild Fire is a high-gain distortion pedal inspired by a famous purple high-gain distortion pedal from the USA. It delivers a fat, powerful sound, a unique and touch-sensitive response, and the tonal characteristics of a good 100-watt tube amp. The pedal works well with almost any type of amplifier, while its wide gain range covers everything from hot-rodded British Plexi-style tones to fat, US-voiced metal distortion.
Its output level is high enough to push the front end of a tube amp into natural overdrive. The Clip switch toggles between two clipping modes: British Plexi-style voicing and American high-gain tube amp distortion.
