Laney DIGBETH FOUNDRY DBF200H Bass Amplifier Head

The Laney DBF200H combines modern functionality with vintage-inspired design in a compact format. It is designed for musicians who need a reliable, powerful bass head in a portable package.

Two channels

The DBF200H features two channels: a clean FET channel and a DRIVE channel with separate DRIVE and VOLUME controls. This lets you dial in the amount of tube-style overdrive you need.

The MIX setting combines the clear, precise bass tone of the FET channel with the warmth and articulation of the DRIVE channel.

Preshape and EQ

The switchable preshape function applies an EQ curve that scoops the mids, pushes the lows and brings out the top end. It is well suited to slap and rock bass.

The 3-band EQ provides:

  • Bass (±12 dB)
  • Middle (±12 dB) with four switchable voicing options
  • Treble (±12 dB)

TILT

TILT is a dynamic seesaw EQ control with a central neutral position. Turning it clockwise increases the upper-mid and high frequencies while reducing the lows, adding presence and helping the sound cut through in a live band. Turning it anticlockwise reduces the upper-mid and high frequencies while increasing the lows for a rounder overall tone.

Connections and features

  • Master Volume control for setting the final volume after the preamp drive and volume controls have been set. Increasing the master volume does not inherently change the amplifier’s tone.
  • speakON-compatible Combi Jack output for connecting an external cabinet. The minimum total load is 4 ohms.
  • Balanced male XLR DI output for connection to a PA or recording equipment. The DI signal is sourced from the front stage of the amplifier, before the FET/DRIVE channels and EQ.
  • FX SEND/LINE output for a post-FET/DRIVE and EQ signal.
  • FX loop with send and return connections for external effects devices.
  • Footswitch socket for remotely enabling or disabling the DRIVE channel.
  • 3.5 mm AUX input for an external sound source, useful for playing along with audio tracks.
  • 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack for monitoring or silent practice.
  • Remote socket for the optional FS-1 MINI, which switches Drive/Mix.
