Keeley Aria combines a compressor and overdrive in one compact stompbox. The Compressor and Drive sections can be used separately or together, and their order in the signal chain can be changed with a dedicated footswitch. This lets you place the compressor before or after the overdrive section, depending on the desired response and tone.
The overdrive section offers two gain modes. LOW provides a clean and bold drive, while HIGH delivers higher gain and smoother saturation. It features Level, Gain and Tone controls. The redesigned overdrive circuit is based on Keeley's Red Dirt overdrive sound and the clean, bold and transparent White Sands drive.
The compressor features a treble recovery circuit and Level, Blend, Sustain and Tone controls. Blend and Tone let you adjust the compressor's output response, while the circuit is voiced for sustain and an even tone without producing dull or overly squashed sounds.
TRS insert jacks allow additional effects to be placed between the compressor and drive circuits. Switching System Mode can be activated using the four internal DIP switches, allowing the two effects to be used separately, including with looper switchers.
