The Gretsch Professional Collection combines Gretsch sound with modern performance features for an enhanced playing experience. The Broadkaster® LX Center Block guitars feature Pro Twin Six™ humbucking pickups, a redesigned Channel Core™ center block, deeper cutaways for improved upper-fret access and a flame maple body for full-spectrum sound at high volume, with the flexibility and control to explore new sonic territories.
The redesigned Channel Core™ center block combines a maple top layer and spruce bottom layer with a more focused chambering design. This construction provides faster note attack and enhanced midrange punch.
The refined flame maple body features deeper cutaways that improve access to the upper frets. A standard “U”-shaped maple neck has a 24.6" scale length and is topped with a 12"-radius ebony fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid Neo-Classic™ thumbnail inlays and Luminlay® side dots. The Australian blackwood headcap completes the neck and headstock design.
Pro Twin Six™ humbucking pickups provide a versatile range of tones. The neck pickup uses an Alnico 5 magnet with a DCR rating of approximately 5.5k, delivering a warm, clear and throaty tone without becoming muddy or overly compressed. The bridge pickup uses an Alnico 4 magnet with a DCR rating of approximately 12k, offering bright and clear tone with enhanced midrange punch, tight focused lows and sparkling highs that remain smooth rather than spiky or shrill. Together, the pickups provide power, faithful response and versatility.
The electronics include a three-position pickup toggle switch, individual volume controls for the neck and bridge pickups, a master volume control with treble bleed circuit and a master no-load tone control with a “Squeezebox” capacitor. A string-thru Bigsby® B7GP vibrato tailpiece and Adjusto-Matic™ bridge complete the bridge system.
The guitar is equipped with a Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut, Gotoh® locking tuners, Grover® strap locks and gold hardware. A G6267 Gretsch® deluxe hardshell case is included.
