The Gigagain Vintage 1.30 mm is a 1.30 mm pick designed for guitarists who want the classic playing experience of the 1960s and 1970s combined with modern precision and comfort. Its shape and flexibility provide a natural response suited to funk, pop, blues, rock and singer-songwriter playing.
- 1.30 mm thickness
- NGAP design for smooth, low-resistance contact with the strings
- Flexible response for dynamic playing
- Ergonomic grip for stable control
- Durable polycarbonate with a polished contact surface
The pick was developed through a collaboration between Gigagain and GEARXXX Workshop, which has focused on producing picks for demanding musicians since 2016. The aim was to create a pick with low noise, high transparency and a natural playing feel—qualities that are useful both in the studio and on stage.
The NGAP design means that the entire edge of the pick is finished as a single unit. This removes irregularities and resistance, allowing the pick to glide smoothly through the strings without catching. The result is a more fluid playing experience that works particularly well for rhythmic playing and grooves.
Most guitarists play with a pick angle of 20–30 degrees, and the NGAP series is optimised for this. It provides effective contact and control without requiring you to change your technique.
The slightly thinner 1.30 mm profile gives the pick a more flexible core that responds quickly and lively to your attack. This produces a softer attack, making it suitable for rhythm playing, chords and dynamic phrasing, while the edge still provides definition and durability.
The curved shape and discreet grip areas provide a secure and comfortable hold, allowing you to play for longer without unnecessary tension in your hand. The pick is suitable for practice, recording and live performance.
The polished contact surface provides a smooth and controlled attack against the strings, while the grip area has a matte texture for improved control. The result is a warm, clean tone with clear overtones and minimal noise.
