The Fender® Vintera III series delivers meticulously crafted vintage recreations that capture the authentic look, feel and tone of iconic Fender guitars from the '50s, '60s and '70s.
The Vintera® III Early '60s Stratocaster® combines an alder body with a maple neck and a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius and vintage-tall frets. Alder provides a balanced, lively tone with punchy mids and a robust low end, while the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard contribute to the unmistakable Fender sound, with punch and crystal-clear articulation.
The authentic early '60s "C" neck profile is comfortably rounded and starts slim at the nut before thickening slightly towards the 12th fret, creating a familiar playing experience. The vintage-tall frets provide slightly more height than traditional vintage frets for broad bends and wide vibrato.
Three meticulously crafted vintage-style early '60s single-coil pickups deliver the bright, chimey and articulate tone, along with the glassy clarity that defined this era of Fender craftsmanship. A vintage-style synchronized tremolo with bent steel saddles and a six-point design provides proper intonation, full adjustability and easy access to classic vibrato sounds.
Vintage-style tuning machines deliver period-correct looks and feel, combined with a finer gear ratio and enhanced tuning stability.
