The Fender® Vintera III series delivers meticulously crafted vintage recreations that capture the authentic look, feel and tone of iconic Fender guitars from the '50s, '60s and '70s.
The Vintera III Late '50s Telecaster® features a body made from either ash or alder, paired with a 1-piece maple neck and maple fingerboard. Alder delivers balanced tone with beefy mids and robust low end, while ash offers enhanced punch and brightness with prominent grain patterns. The combination produces the unmistakable Fender sound with punch and crystal-clear articulation.
The authentic late '50s soft “V”-shaped neck profile is rounded in the centre, starts off chunky at the nut and thickens slightly towards the 12th fret. A 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-tall frets provides classic comfort and an enhanced playing feel, with the frets offering slightly more height than traditional vintage frets.
Two meticulously crafted vintage-style late '50s pickups deliver the bright, cutting tones that established Fender's reputation during this pivotal era, with classic Telecaster bite and twang, warm woody character and crisp attack. The vintage-style 3-saddle bridge features a string-through-body design and three steel barrel saddles for authentic late '50s Tele® twang. Vintage-style appointments, including period-correct tuning machines, complete the classic aesthetics; the tuning machines also feature a finer gear ratio for enhanced tuning stability.
