The Player II Modified Telecaster® is a classic guitar designed for the modern player. Its neck is built for fast, fluid playability, with a Modern “C” profile, a silky satin urethane finish on the back and a comfortable 9.5” radius fingerboard with smooth, hand-rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. Depending on the finish, it features either a slab rosewood fingerboard or a one-piece maple fingerboard. The alder body delivers classic Fender punch and is available in a variety of new finishes.

Player II Noiseless™ Tele® pickups deliver classic Tele® twang and bite while removing unwanted noise. A push/pull switch on the tone control changes the pickup wiring from parallel to series for fatter tones, while the treble bleed circuit retains natural high end as you roll off the volume, preserving sparkly cleans and chime-like edge-of-breakup tones.

The modern Tele® bridge has a bridge plate cut away at the sides for unrestricted movement, making it well suited to hybrid picking. Six block brass saddles provide improved intonation, sustain and tuning stability. Short-post locking tuning machines create a sharper break angle over the nut for increased sustain and enhanced tuning stability, while also making string changes quick and easy. A Graph Tech® TUSQ® nut supports stable tuning during demanding bends and roaring rock leads, and produces more harmonics in the mid and upper range. The modern string tree provides a smooth travel surface for the strings, preventing hang-ups and helping maintain stable tuning during demanding performances.
