Gear up and take your performance to the next level with the Player II Modified Telecaster®. Designed with key upgrades for the modern guitarist, this versatile instrument is ready for anything from fluid lead playing to roaring rock performances.
The Player II Modified Telecaster® is a classic guitar designed with the modern player in mind. Its neck is shaped for fast, fluid playability, featuring a Modern “C” profile with a silky satin urethane finish on the back, a comfortable 9.5” radius, smooth rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. The fingerboard is available in slab rosewood or 1-piece maple. The alder body delivers classic Fender punch and is available in a variety of new finishes.
Player II noiseless™ Tele® pickups provide classic Tele® twang and bite while eliminating unwanted noise. A push/pull switch on the tone control changes the pickup wiring from parallel to series for fatter tones, while the treble bleed circuit retains natural high-end when rolling off the volume, preserving sparkly cleans and chime-y edge-of-breakup tones.
The modern Tele® bridge features a bridge plate cut away at the sides for total freedom of movement, making it well suited to hybrid picking, and six block brass saddles for improved intonation, sustain and tuning stability. Short-post locking tuning machines create a sharper break angle over the nut for increased sustain and enhanced tuning stability, while also making string changes fast and easy. The TUSQ® nut provides excellent tuning stability during bends and produces more harmonics in the mid and upper range. The modern string tree provides a smooth travel surface for the strings, preventing hang-ups and helping to keep tuning stable during demanding performances.
