Gear up and take your performance to the next level with Player II Modified. Featuring key upgrades for the modern guitarist and bassist, these versatile instruments are designed to handle anything you throw at them.
The Player II Modified Stratocaster® is a classic guitar designed with the modern player in mind. The neck is built for fast, fluid playability, with a Modern “C” profile, a silky satin urethane finish on the back, and a comfortable 9.5” radius fingerboard with smooth rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets. Choose between a slab rosewood fingerboard or a one-piece maple fingerboard. The hand-rolled edges provide an inviting, broken-in feel, while the 9.5” radius supports fluid lead playing and choke-free bends.
The alder body delivers classic Fender punch and is available in a variety of new finishes. Player II Noiseless™ pickups provide chiming, sparkly Strat® tones while eliminating unwanted noise. They sound great with gain and are Fender’s most natural-sounding noiseless pickups yet. A push/pull switch on the second tone control adds the neck pickup in switch positions 1 and 2, creating two pickup configurations not available with standard Strat® wiring. The treble bleed circuit preserves natural high-end when rolling off the volume control, retaining sparkly cleans and chime-like edge-of-breakup tones.
The 2-point synchronized tremolo features six steel saddles in block design and a chamfered tremolo block. It provides superior intonation, sustain, tuning stability and ease of adjustment, while the upgraded block allows a wider range of travel than a standard tremolo block for more expressive, musical vibrato. Short-post locking tuning machines create a sharper string angle over the nut for enhanced tuning stability and make string changes fast and easy. The Graph Tech® TUSQ® nut supports exceptional tuning stability, especially with heavy tremolo use, and produces more harmonics in the mid and upper range. The modern string tree provides a smooth surface for the strings, helping prevent hang-ups and maintain tuning stability during demanding performances.
