In vintage years, the shape and thickness of Fender guitar necks varied tremendously. The American Vintage II Series features authentic neck profiles from Fender's past. Crafted at Fender's manufacturing facility in Corona, Calif., this genuine Fender American Vintage II 1973 Stratocaster guitar neck features a '73 "C"-shaped profile, a 7.25"-radius round-laminated rosewood or maple fingerboard and 21 vintage-tall frets. The large '70s headstock, three-bolt neck design, bullet-style truss rod and Micro-Tilt™ adjustment mechanism complete the vintage-style design.
The bone nut is pre-slotted with "pilot" string-location grooves to simplify final string-slot filing, while the gloss polyurethane finish provides a vintage feel. This replacement neck is designed for Fender or Squier® by Fender guitars and is a way to give your Strat® an authentic '70s feel.
