In Fender's vintage years, guitar neck shapes and thicknesses varied tremendously. The American Vintage II Series features authentic neck profiles from Fender's past. Crafted at Fender's manufacturing facility in Corona, California, this genuine Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster® replacement neck is made from one-piece maple and features a substantial "U"-shaped profile, a 7.25"-radius fingerboard and 21 vintage-tall frets.
The bone nut is pre-slotted with "pilot" string-location grooves, making it easier to establish string spacing when performing the final string-slot filing. The neck has a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish that offers a vintage feel, along with vintage-style truss rod adjustment. This replacement neck is a way to give your Tele® an authentic '50s feel and is intended for a Fender or Squier® by Fender guitar.
