Gear up with Player II Modified, featuring key upgrades for the modern guitarist and bassist. These versatile instruments are designed to handle anything you can throw at them.
The Player II Modified Active Jazz Bass® is a classic bass designed with the modern player in mind. Everything about the neck is designed for fast and fluid playability, from the Modern “C” profile with a silky-smooth satin urethane finish on the back to the comfortable 9.5"-radius slab rosewood or one-piece maple fingerboard with smooth rolled edges and 20 medium jumbo frets. The alder body provides classic Fender punch and is available in a variety of exciting new finishes.
The new Player II noiseless™ pickups deliver classic Fender Jazz Bass® thump and growl while eliminating unwanted noise, and are Fender’s most natural-sounding noiseless pickups yet. The all-new 18-volt active preamp is designed with the needs of professional players in mind. Transparent at unity, it features a 3-band EQ with a refined mid-Q and center frequency, along with a passive tone control for greater freedom to shape your sound.
The 4-saddle HiMass™ bridge features top-load stringing and a higher-mass plate that adds resonance and sustain. Its four beefed-up, chrome-plated zinc saddles sit securely in saddle slots for rock-solid intonation. Tapered-shaft tuning machines pull the strings toward the headstock for a sharper break angle over the bridge, improving tuning stability and sustain, while the Graph Tech® TUSQ® nut provides unparalleled tuning stability and produces more midrange harmonics.
