ADAM Audio D3V Black

The ADAM Audio D3V is a fully active desktop monitoring system for songwriters, producers, and music lovers who want to enjoy ADAM Audio sound quality as conveniently as possible. Available in white or black editions, the active monitors feature the iconic golden ribbon tweeter and reflect ADAM Audio’s German industrial design heritage.

Each active pair features 3.5-inch aluminium woofers with a ferrite magnet system, driven by 80 W amplifiers. Dual-sided 3.5-inch passive radiators complement the woofers and allow the D3V to extend down to 45 Hz.

With 25 years of experience in ribbon tweeter technology, ADAM Audio has developed a compact 1.5-inch D-ART (Desktop Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter). It delivers precise, non-fatiguing high-frequency reproduction of the kind associated with ADAM Audio’s established monitoring systems.

The D3V features a USB-C input, allowing the monitoring system to act as a digital output device when connected to a computer. This eliminates the need for an additional audio interface for playback. The plug-and-play functionality also extends to mobile devices, allowing high-quality audio without the compression or conversion normally associated with such connections. For more traditional analogue audio applications, the D3V also provides balanced 1/4-inch TRS inputs.

The backplate of the left speaker features a range of user-friendly switches for addressing common acoustic issues caused by speaker placement. The front panel includes a headphone socket and a volume knob that also controls audio input selection, muting, and other functions.

The D3V comes complete with detachable monitor stands angled 15° towards the listener’s ears. Both monitors also feature a standard threaded 3/8-inch hole on the underside for microphone stand mounting.
