ADAM Audio A8H-B Side (Right)
A8H – built to reveal
At the top of the A Series, the A8H is a three-way monitor that delivers the highly accurate and analytical sound required for critical-listening environments.
Supreme monitoring
The A8H combines an 8-inch resonant Multi-Layer Mineral (MLM) fiber woofer, an innovative midrange driver and a handmade precision X-ART tweeter. Together, these components produce an ultra-wide frequency response.
Like the other members of the A Series, the A8H offers extensive flexibility for fine-tuning its sound through rotatable HPS waveguide technology and onboard DSP. It is suited to a broad range of audio applications in mid-sized to full-sized spaces, and is designed for detailed audio reproduction.
The A8H is available in left and right versions. This is the right-hand version.
Technologies
- A Control Remote Software: The DSP-based functionality of all A Series monitors can be controlled remotely and in real time over Ethernet using A Control.
- Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter: Made from a new glass-fiber polymer compound, the HPS waveguide enables the X-ART tweeter to disperse sound throughout the room with controlled consistency.
- Bass Reflex System, Cabinets and Mounting: The new A Series cabinets build on the heritage of ADAM Audio, particularly the AX Series.
- Automated Room Correction with Sonarworks: ADAM Audio partners with Sonarworks on an automated room-correction solution that runs directly on the DSP of A Series monitors.
- Hybrid Amplification: The A Series combines the advantages of both digital and analog technology.
- Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer (MLM): New materials and advanced analysis and design processes have led to the development of new long-throw woofers.
- Midrange Driver: A Series midrange drivers deliver clean sound in the critical part of the frequency range where human hearing is especially sensitive to coloration.
- Voicings: A “Voicing” is a predefined sound profile for an A Series monitor. The rear panel provides two different selections: “UNR” and “Pure”.
- Room Adaptation: The rear panel features four bands of room-adaptation equalization: Bass, Desk, Presence and Treble.
- Digital Signal Processing: The A Series uses DSP-based electronics to provide greater tuning precision than speakers based solely on analog electronics.
