ADAM Audio A7V
The ADAM Audio A7V is a contemporary 2-way monitor for home studios, professional studios, and a wide range of other audio applications. It represents the evolution of the award-winning A7X, combining a 7-inch Multi-Layer Mineral woofer with a rotatable X-ART tweeter handcrafted in Berlin.
DSP-based voicing, equalization, and room-correction options can be controlled remotely and in real time via the free A Control software. Updatable firmware allows new filters and tunings to be implemented throughout the monitor’s lifetime.
Technology
- A Control Remote Software: The DSP-based functionality of A Series monitors can be controlled remotely and in real time over Ethernet using A Control.
- Rotatable HPS Waveguide and X-ART Tweeter: Made from a new glass-fiber polymer compound, the HPS waveguide enables the X-ART tweeter to disperse sound throughout the room with controlled consistency.
- Bass Reflex System, Cabinets, and Mounting: The new A Series cabinets build on ADAM Audio’s heritage, particularly that of the AX Series.
- Automated Room Correction with Sonarworks: ADAM Audio has partnered with Sonarworks on an automated room-correction solution that runs directly on the DSP of A Series monitors.
- Hybrid Amplification: The A Series combines digital and analog technologies.
- Multi-Layer Mineral Woofer (MLM): New materials and advanced analysis and design processes have led to the development of the new long-throw woofers.
- Midrange Driver: A Series midrange drivers deliver clean sound in the critical part of the frequency range where human hearing is especially sensitive to coloration.
- Voicings: A voicing is a predefined sound profile for an A Series monitor. The rear panel provides two selections: “UNR” and “Pure”.
- Room Adaptation: The rear panel of A Series speakers features four bands of room-adaptation equalization: Bass, Desk, Presence, and Treble.
- Digital Signal Processing: A Series monitors use DSP-based electronics to provide greater tuning precision than speakers based solely on analog technology.
