The Professional Collection combines Gretsch sound with modern performance features for an enhanced playing experience. The Broadkaster® Jr. LX Center Block delivers modern Gretsch tone and exceptional performance, with Pro Twin Six™ humbucking pickups, a redesigned Channel Core™ center block and a flame maple body designed for full-spectrum sound at high volume, with the flexibility and control to explore new sonic territories.
The redesigned Channel Core™ center block combines a maple top layer and spruce bottom layer with a more focused chambering design, providing faster note attack and enhanced midrange punch. The standard "U"-shaped maple neck has a 24.6" scale length, while the 12"-radius ebony fingerboard features rolled edges, 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid Neo-Classic™ thumbnail inlays and glow-in-the-dark Luminlay® side dots for precise fretting in low-light settings. The headcap is made from Australian blackwood.
The Pro Twin Six™ humbucking pickups are designed for powerful and versatile performance. The pickup at the neck features an Alnico 5 magnet with a DCR rating of approximately 5.5k, delivering a warm, clear and throaty tone without becoming muddy or overly compressed. The pickup at the bridge features an Alnico 4 magnet with a DCR rating of approximately 12k, providing a bright and clear tone with enhanced midrange punch, tight focused lows and sparkling highs that remain smooth rather than spiky or shrill. Together, the pickups provide power, faithful response and versatility.
Controls include a three-position pickup toggle switch, individual volume controls for the neck and bridge pickups, a master volume control with treble bleed circuit, and a master no-load tone control with a "Squeezebox" capacitor. The guitar is equipped with a string-through Bigsby® B7GP vibrato tailpiece, an Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, a Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut, Gotoh® locking tuners, Grover® strap locks and gold hardware. A Gretsch® deluxe hardshell case is included.
