2011 Cardioid Stereo Pair
This complete stereo pair contains two handpicked d:dicate™ 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphones, selected on sensitivity within ±1.5 dB. These mics make several stereo principles like XY and ORTF easy to obtain. The pair contains mics, windscreens and clips all packaged in a Peli™ Case.
The 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone
Inside the 2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area. These capsules provide fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth.
Inside the MMC2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Capsule, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. The capsules are loaded to the supreme d:dicate™ Microphone series preamplifiers instead of the tiny miniature FET ones. This gives the sound more air and precision.
ST2011A Stereo Pair
These mics are acclaimed for their close-miking excellence and hi-SPL handling. Optimized for onstage use, it has been used on many stages as well as recording sessions. They exhibit a previously unheard blend of clarity, richness and dynamic range. The off-axis response is linear but in a smaller frequency bandwidth. This makes stage separation and gain-to-feedback higher. The mic level is easier to control.
