The British Pedal Company Zonk Machine from the Vintage Series is a detailed replica of the original Zonk Machine MKI pedal that was developed by Wilsic Sound for John Hornby Skewes and produced in Leeds, England from 1965 to 1966. The design and circuit topology of the Zonk Machine looks very similar to the original MKI Tone Bender (designed by Gary Hurst) that uses a 3 transistor circuit, but the modified circuit offers a slightly different, tighter tone with less low-end and more boost than the Tone Bender. Based on the limited production period originals are exceptionally scarce and amongst the most sought-after pedals in the world.
