The Allen & Heath proprietary ACE™ (Audio and Control over Ethernet) link offers a cost effective point-to-point connection up to 120m over a single CAT5 cable for 64 channels of very low latency bi-directional audio plus network control. ACE™ is the primary iLive Surface to MixRack link and can also be fitted to Port B for digital mic splitting and system expansion. For modular iLive systems fitted with RAB2, ACE™ is one of several choices for the Port A Surface to MixRack link.

The card provides two ACE™ ports. Port 1 is the main link. Port 2 can be configured either as a mirror of the outputs appearing on port 1 to split signals to a second device, or as a second connection for redundant backup. The iLive NETWORK port can be linked to ACE™ Port 1 using the short CAT5 cable provided to bridge control over the same cable as the audio.

ACE™ is one of a range of digital audio networking options available for iLive. These small interface cards can be fitted to Slot A and Slot B * in iLive MixRacks and Surfaces fitted with the RAB2 module, and to Port B in the T Series MixRacks.

* Current firmware supports only the M-MMO option in the RAB2 module Port B of the modular iLive Surface. Other card options are supported in the Surface Port A but not Port B. All card options are supported in MixRack Port B.
