A superb gateway into the time-honored Fender® family, the Squier® Affinity Series® Active Jazz Bass® delivers legendary design and quintessential tone for today’s aspiring bassist.

This J Bass® features several player-friendly refinements, including a thin and lightweight body and a slim, comfortable neck with a “C”-shaped profile, retro block inlays and vintage-style open-gear tuning machines. The tuning machines offer a classic look along with smooth, accurate tuning.

Two Fender-voiced, hum-cancelling Squier Noiseless™ Jazz Bass pickups produce fat, articulate tone for a wide variety of styles. They are shaped by an active 9V 2-band preamp powered by a 9-volt battery, with controls for volume, blend and separate boost/cut of the bass and treble. A 4-saddle bass bridge completes the design, while the wide range of punchy tones makes this model ready to help lay the foundation for any player at any stage.
