Laney LFR-412 – active FRFR cabinet for digital guitar rigs

The Laney LFR-412 is an active 4x12 cabinet designed for guitarists using digital rigs, profilers and modelling systems. It combines high power with full-range, flat-response (FRFR) reproduction, giving players the response and air movement associated with a traditional 4x12 cabinet.

Developed in collaboration with Devin Townsend, the LFR-412 features Laney’s LA·IR (Laney Advance Impulse Response) technology. It uses 56-bit FIR filters for high-quality cabinet emulation, and ships with two IRs designed and used by Devin Townsend.

Flexible IR handling

USB connectivity allows you to load your own IRs, while the supplied LA·IR-LFR app provides further parameter adjustment. By handling the IR processing in the cabinet, the LFR-412 reduces the processing workload on your digital rig.

Dual IR operation lets you run two IRs simultaneously and select which IR is sent to the cabinet and which is used for the emulated DI output. This allows the front-of-house engineer to receive a different sound from the one you monitor on stage.
