Launched by Fender® in 1960 as a deluxe model to complement the P Bass®, the Jazz Bass® gave jazz players dual pickups for greater sonic variety and brightness, a more ergonomic offset-waist body, and a slim neck shape suited to fast, agile playing.

Built to accompany players on their formative musical adventures, the Fender Standard Jazz Bass delivers the approachable playability and inspiring tone that made Fender an icon of rock & roll. Its Fender Standard ceramic single-coil J Bass pickups are designed for high-output, authentic Fender tone and versatile performance, while the maple neck features a comfortable “Modern C”-shaped profile and a smooth satin back finish. The 9.5"-radius fingerboard further contributes to the instrument’s comfortable playing feel.

The bass is fitted with a four-saddle bridge featuring steel saddles with a satin chrome finish, and the poplar body has a gloss finish.
