8-channel audio/CV breakout box and USB interface
Elektron Outbox 8 is a versatile eight-channel audio/CV breakout box and USB host/device that greatly expands the connectivity between Elektron gear, modular synthesizers, MIDI devices and other studio hardware. Eight individually configurable physical outputs let you send audio and CV in virtually any combination your setup requires.
Use Outbox 8 to route individual tracks or submixes from compatible Elektron machines to external mixers, effects processors and other hardware. Each channel can be routed individually, making it easy to incorporate external processing into both studio and live performance setups.
The outputs can also be assigned to CV duties including pitch, gate, trig, linear control values and clock. This makes it easy to bring modular synthesizers and other CV-controllable equipment into the same setup.
Outbox 8 can also operate as a dedicated USB MIDI-to-CV interface. Play, sequence, modulate and synchronize modular systems and other CV-capable instruments from your Elektron gear, or connect a MIDI controller for direct hands-on control.
Connected to a computer, tablet or phone, Outbox 8 functions as an eight-output USB audio interface. Route individual channels from your DAW to mixers, external effects, monitors or other hardware while simultaneously converting MIDI to CV when required.
Outbox 8 is compatible with Elektron Overbridge-enabled devices, USB class-compliant MIDI devices and many USB class-compliant audio devices. USB MIDI compatibility is broad, while USB audio compatibility may vary depending on manufacturer and firmware.
