The British Pedal Company Special Edition Wooden Case Prototype MKI Tone Bender is a detailed replica of the original 1965 Tone Bender prototype pedals created by Gary Hurst in London, England. The BPC Special Edition MKI Tone Bender features the same transistor specification (1x OC75 and 2x 2G381) and a wooden wedge-shaped case like the first original models. This transistor configuration has a unique tone and a special character which cannot be replicated by the often offered 3x OC75 version. The Prototype MKI Tone Bender features complete point-to-point wiring, period-correct aluminum knobs and a manual on/off switch.
